The eat:Weston Christmas edition fills the Italian Gardens and the Winter Gardens on Saturday 21 November, 10am to 4pm, and Weston Museum holds its Christmas Market Weekend on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November, 10am to 3pm. A week later, eat:Nailsea takes over Nailsea High Street on Saturday 5 December.

eat:Weston Christmas edition, Saturday 21 November
The organisers, eat:Festivals, list eat:Weston on Saturday 21 November “on the Italian Gardens” in their 2026 dates (eat:Festivals). Visit Weston’s listing gives the hours, 10am to 4pm, and the venue as the Italian Gardens and the Winter Gardens, BS23 1AJ. It says the market is free to attend, family friendly and accessible to all (Visit Weston).
Expect local growers and producers, street food and treat food, coffee and bars, with alcohol-free, gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options, plus gift stalls, entertainment and music, and somewhere to sit. Visit Weston says dogs are welcome.
This is the same day and the same gardens as Weston’s Christmas lights switch-on in past years, but the town council has not yet given a 2026 switch-on date. Our Christmas lights page will carry it when it does.
Weston Museum Christmas Market Weekend, 28 and 29 November
Weston Museum on Burlington Street is running its market over both Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November, 10am to 3pm, after what it calls the popularity of last year’s event. Entry is free. (Weston Museum)
- Stalls: local stallholders and businesses selling gifts. The museum says the Saturday is fully booked with stallholders, and only Sunday pitches remain.
- Santa: visiting on both days, 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm, for photos and a chat. The museum says meeting Santa is free and does not include a present.
- Children’s trail: a hunt through the galleries for Santa’s missing reindeer, 50p from the front desk.
- Food: Clara’s CafĂ©, with seasonal specials.
Stallholders register through the museum’s online form; pricing and times for traders come from the museum by email.
eat:Nailsea Christmas Festival, Saturday 5 December
eat:Festivals lists eat:Nailsea on Saturday 5 December, on the High Street and in the Crown Glass shopping centre (eat:Festivals). Nailsea Town Council’s listing gives 10am to 4pm, free entry, with West Country food and drink producers, artisan stalls, community stalls, and free entertainment from DJs, buskers and strolling characters, with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and alcohol-free options (Nailsea Town Council).
One line on the council’s page says 6 December. Its date field and heading both say Saturday 5 December, which matches the organiser and is a Saturday; 6 December 2026 is a Sunday.
Nailsea’s tree lights go on the evening before, Friday 4 December, with carols from 5.15pm and the light-up at 6pm. Details are on our Christmas lights page.
Nailsea also has its monthly farmers’ market on the High Street on the third Saturday of every month except January, which puts the last two of 2026 on 21 November and 19 December (Nailsea Town Council).
Portishead and Clevedon: not announced yet
Portishead. Portishead Christmas Lights, the volunteer group behind the town’s switch-on, also runs the Posset markets, and its pitch sale page is taking applications from traders for “A Posset Christmas Market”. It has not published a 2026 date for that market or for the switch-on, whose date still reads TBC (Portishead Christmas Lights, what’s happening). Dates on listing sites for a Portishead Christmas market are not backed by the organisers.
Clevedon. We found no Christmas market on Clevedon Town Council’s events calendar, checked into January 2027, which does include the town’s lights switch-on in Queen’s Square on Friday 20 November (Clevedon Town Council).
Getting there and parking
eat:Weston is on the seafront side of the town centre; Weston Museum is a few minutes’ walk inland on Burlington Street. Car parks and tariffs for both, and for Nailsea, are on our parking in North Somerset page. For anything closed or dug up that weekend, check our roadworks and travel page before you set off.
If you are making a day of it in Weston, the Grand Pier opens its Santa’s grottos from late November, and the Playhouse pantomime opens on 4 December.
This page
Written on 2 October 2026 from the organisers’ and venues’ own listings. The Weston and Nailsea dates above are confirmed. Portishead’s and Clevedon’s are not, and this page will be updated when either town publishes one.
