The Playhouse’s Christmas pantomime for 2026 is Aladdin, running from Friday 4 to Thursday 31 December on Weston-super-Mare High Street. It stars Weston favourite Michael Goble, and the rest of the cast has not been announced yet. There are 48 performances, including two on Christmas Eve and two on New Year’s Eve.

The show
Parkwood Theatres, which runs the Playhouse, bills the show with Aladdin, his brother Wishee Washee, Widow Twankey, Princess Jasmine, the villain Abanazar, a Genie and the Magic Carpet. It promises big musical numbers, audience participation and a warning about toilet rolls (The Playhouse, Aladdin). Michael Goble is the only named cast member so far; the theatre says further casting will be announced.

There are no performances on Friday 11, Friday 18 or Friday 25 December. The weekday 11am shows from 7 to 17 December fall in term time: North Somerset schools do not break up until Friday 18 December (our term dates page), so the first weekday matinee in the school holidays is Monday 21 December at 3pm.

Getting there
The Playhouse is on the High Street in the town centre. For car parks nearby and their tariffs, see our parking page.
