Puxton Park's free pumpkin patch is open October weekends, Grand Pier Halloween wristbands are £12.50 from 24 October, and what is on for 31 October.

Halloween in Weston-super-Mare runs for most of October in 2026. Puxton Park’s free pumpkin patch is open every weekend from 3 October, the Grand Pier is themed for Halloween from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November, and Saturday 31 October itself has parties, storytelling and a fireworks display in Clevedon. Below is what is confirmed, with dates and prices from each organiser’s own website.

The quick answer

  • Pumpkin picking, free to enter: Puxton Park at Hewish (October weekends, then every day 26 to 31 October) and Pumpkinfest at the Noah’s Ark farm shop, Wraxall (daily to 31 October, 10.30am to 5.30pm). You pay only for the pumpkins.
  • Biggest paid day out: the Grand Pier’s Halloween wristband, listed at £12.50, which includes entry, the little kids’ rides, the Wicked Witch of Weston and the House of Horrors.
  • Free with admission, no booking: Tyntesfield’s Horace the Hunky Punk trail, 24 October to 1 November, 10am to 4.30pm.
  • On 31 October: Imagination Fascination’s family parties, Kindness Karl at Front Room, Little Movers on the pier, and Fireworks on the Hill in Clevedon from 6.30pm.
  • North Somerset half term is Monday 26 to Friday 30 October, although Clevedon School breaks up on 16 October. Our October half term page has the dinosaur week at Weston Museum and the school-by-school dates.

Pumpkin picking

Puxton Park Pumpkin Patch

Puxton Park’s patch is free to enter and sits outside the main adventure park, so you do not need a park ticket: “simply turn up”, and you pay only for the pumpkins you pick. The park lists white, black, spotty and bumpy varieties as well as the classic orange carving pumpkins, with cakes and hot chocolate at the patch (Puxton Park).

It is open on these days in 2026:

  • Weekends: 3 and 4, 10 and 11, 17 and 18, 24 and 25 October
  • Half term: every day from Monday 26 to Saturday 31 October

The 2026 page does not give the patch’s opening hours or pumpkin prices; the park itself is open 9am to 5pm daily (Puxton Park, plan your day). Puxton Park is on Cowslip Lane, Hewish, BS24 6AH, about half a mile from junction 21 of the M5 on the A370 towards Congresbury, and the park says there is a bus stop at the entrance.

Pumpkinfest at Noah’s Ark farm shop, Wraxall

The farm shop at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, on the Clevedon road at Wraxall, runs its pick-your-own patch until Saturday 31 October, 10.30am to 5.30pm, with more than 30 varieties of pumpkin and gourd. Entry and parking are free and dogs are welcome. This is the farm’s seventh year of growing pumpkins, a habit that started when seeds from the elephants’ enrichment pumpkins sprouted on the dung heap (Noah’s Ark Farm Shop). The zoo itself is ticketed separately.

Tyntesfield’s pumpkin display

Tyntesfield does not sell pick-your-own pumpkins, but its autumn harvest display in the Orangery, hundreds of pumpkins, squashes and gourds grown in the Kitchen Garden, runs from 24 October to 15 November, 10.30am to 5.30pm (National Trust, Tyntesfield events).

The big Halloween days out

Halloween at the Grand Pier, 24 October to 1 November

The pier is themed for Halloween from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November 2026, with free face painting, the Witches Grotto and the Wicked Witch of Weston. Each Halloween wristband covers entry to see the witch for one child and one adult, and cannot be combined with other offers or discount codes (The Grand Pier).

The pier’s own page shows the wristband price only at booking. Its listing on Visit Weston, updated on 1 October, gives £12.50 and says the wristband includes pier entry, the Little Kids ride wristband (aimed at ages 3 to 12), the Wicked Witch with a free gift and the House of Horrors, reached through the Haunted Elevator (Visit Weston). For comparison, the pier’s year-round Little Kids wristband is £15 and plain entry is £2 a person (The Grand Pier, buy).

Two separately ticketed events run in the pier’s Halloween week. Neither is included in wristbands:

  • Thursday 29 October: Party Peeps family Halloween parties in the Regency Suite, 1pm to 3pm or 4pm to 6pm (The Grand Pier).
  • Saturday 31 October: Little Movers, a 45-minute Halloween music and movement session for small children and their grown-ups, at 11am or 1pm (The Grand Pier).

Puxton Park: The Academy of Mischief and Magic, 26 October to 1 November

Inside the park, half term is a wizard academy: children meet “real-life wizards”, learn spell-casting and watch daily shows. Joining the academy is free, but places are for children only and must be booked in advance, and everyone still needs a day admission ticket or a Puxton Park membership to get into the park (Puxton Park tickets).

Tyntesfield: Horace the Hunky Punk, 24 October to 1 November

The National Trust’s Halloween trail at Wraxall, Horace the Hunky Punk’s Very Gothic Gathering, runs every day from 24 October to 1 November, 10am to 4.30pm. It is a free event with no booking needed, on top of normal admission. Children follow Horace, a stone figure who has escaped from the chapel roof, help him plan his party and earn a prize at the end. The step-free route starts at Home Farm, goes down to the Kitchen Garden and back, and does not go into the woods. A trail map costs £3.50 from Home Farm (National Trust, Tyntesfield). Admission prices and opening hours are on our half term page.

The Helicopter Museum, Sunday 25 October

The museum’s Halloween Family Fun Day lets every child in Halloween fancy dress in free. There are giant bubble shows in the indoor arena at 11.30am and 12.45pm, a haunted graveyard, costumed characters including Frankenstein’s monster, face painting and a Halloween menu in the café. The museum says its events cost nothing beyond standard admission, and tickets are sold on the door with no need to book (The Helicopter Museum).

Saturday 31 October

  • Weston Museum, 10am to 1pm: Crunchy Slime Workshop, £5 (Weston Museum).
  • Grand Pier, 11am and 1pm: Little Movers Halloween sessions (above).
  • Imagination Fascination, 72 High Street, 12pm to 2pm and 2.30pm to 4.30pm: a Halloween party hosted by children’s entertainer Action Pussycat, with Bluey the Vampire and Stitch the Bat. Places are limited and booking is advised (Visit Weston listing). Meeting Bluey the Vampire is also included in standard admission at every session through half term, the venue says (Visit Weston listing).
  • Front Room, Central Walk, 3pm: Kindness Karl’s Halloween storytelling for families (Front Room WSM).
  • Clevedon Cricket Club, from 6.30pm: Fireworks on the Hill, with a quieter display at 6.30pm and the main display at 7pm. Prices and the rest of the bonfire night calendar are on our fireworks page.
  • Riverside Holiday Village, Bleadon, 9pm: the Kingfisher Club’s annual Halloween fancy dress party with Rikki Withers, a best costume contest and games. Free entry, all welcome (Visit Weston listing).

eat:Portishead’s food market is also on that Saturday, at Parish Wharf and along the north bank of the marina. It is not a Halloween event, and the organiser has published no times; see our monthly listings.

For grown-ups

  • Saturday 17 October, 7.30pm: Halloween Bingo at the Weston Sea Cadet Unit, Sunnyside Road North, raising money for the cadets (Visit Weston listing).
  • Wednesday 21 October, 7.30pm: From The Mud Cabaret: Spook-tacular, a Halloween cabaret by Weston performers at Front Room (Front Room WSM). The same night, Weston Museum holds a Myths and Legends Quiz at 7.30pm, £5 (Weston Museum).
  • Tuesday 27 October, 7.30pm: Weston-super-Mare Ghost Stories at Front Room. Local actor Joe Brooks, who leads ghost walks around the town, tells its ghost stories indoors; the January show sold out (Front Room WSM).
  • Wednesday 28 October, 7.30pm: The Necromancer, Crumplehorn Theatre’s medieval musical comedy about raising the dead, at Front Room (Front Room WSM).

Front Room does not publish ticket prices in its listings; they are shown when you book.

For toddlers, before half term

Weston Museum runs Halloween Toddler Crafts on Friday 9 October, 10.15am to 11am, £5 (Weston Museum).

Getting there and parking

Puxton Park and the Helicopter Museum are both just off the M5 at junction 21, so they are the easy ones by car. For the Grand Pier and the town centre, our parking page has the car parks and charges. The Weston Beach Race takes over the beach from 16 to 18 October, the weekend before half term (our beach race page), and our roadworks page has current closures, including the M5 works at junction 21.

Is it on this year?

Yes for everything above. Each entry comes from a 2026 listing on the organiser’s own website, or from its listing on Visit Weston, the town’s tourism website. Two things we looked for and could not confirm for 2026:

  • A Nailsea pumpkin hunt. Nailsea has run a High Street pumpkin trail in past years, but the town council’s events diary had no 2026 Halloween listing on 3 October.
  • Court Farm Country Park, Banwell. Its events page lists no Halloween or pumpkin event this year.

We will add both if they are announced.

Last checked 3 October 2026.
